The Michigan Sikh Studies Forum will be holding its first seminar for the 2008-2009 school year. MSSF is proud to host the renowned Sikh musicologist Bhai Baldeep Singh (more information below) who will be making a presentation entitled "The Musical Tradition of the Sikhs". Bhai Baldeep Singh is a 13th generation Sikh kirtan exponent (vocalist, percussionist, string player) and is also committed to the documentation and preservation of the Sikh musical heritage. In addition to hearing Bhai Baldeep Singh speak, the audience will be able to view his latest documentary film Sacred Music of the Sikhs which will be followed by question-and-answer session.
